A Busy 36 Hours for Big Fish Staffing!
Big Fish Staffing is coming off a very busy weekend of supporting, celebrating, giving back to the community and having lots of fun! Here is the 36-hour Recap!
Friday May 11th 7:30am – 9:30am the Stampeders / CUPS 26th Annual fundraiser Breakfast!
It was a great event! While Donna, CJ and Carol hosted 17 clients at the Big Fish Staffing tables, Big Fish’s Bruce Covernton entertained the crowd during the live auctions and hot stove lounge! Fun was had by all and the Big Fish prize donations brought in $11,500.00 – good job team and thank you to all those who donated!!
Friday May 11th 2pm – 6pm – Big Fish 2nd year anniversary with the GREY CUP!
Big Fish Staffing hosted close to 200 people for our “1st tailgate of the season” right at the Big Fish Headquarter in the heart of down town Calgary. Everyone was very excited to have their picture taken with a piece of Canadian sports history the GREY CUP! We enjoyed a warm afternoon with great food (Spolumbos of course) and fun! We also managed to raise hundreds of dollars in support of the Brain Cancer Walk that will take place on June 2nd! If you would like to join our team contact us!
We want to thank Jeff McWhinney of the CFL Hall of Fame for bringing the CUP; our staff for their hard work on putting the event together; and Albert from Triovest for allowing us to host the celebration in our office!
A big thank you to Jenna from the Calgary Stampeders as well for having a great prize giveaway! Congratulations to John B. the winner of an autographed Bo Levi Mitchell jersey
Friday May 11th 6:30pm – 9pm Grey Cup visit to Calgary Fire Department Station No.16!
Cee-Jay Jackson and Bruce from Big Fish Fish along with Jeff McWhinney from the CFL Hall of the Fame had the privilege of joining the B Shift of Station 16 for photos with the Grey Cup. We also delivered some great food from Spolumbos Deli!
The Battalion Chief at the Fire hall is none other than Former Calgary Stampeder Legend Stu Laird!! The Station was happy to see the Grey Cup and of course all the food. It was great to see the guys at the Station before they rushed out to a call!
The station was also buzzing with the word of a possible Stu Laird Charity Roast! Details to come soon!
Sat May 12th 9am – 12pm Calgary Stampeder Fan-fest!
The event was attended by over 10,000 people with a chance to try your hand at some of the football drills, a free pancake breakfast and a chance to meet the players and cheerleaders up close. Big Fish’s Cee-Jay Jackson and Bruce took in the festivities along with future Stampeder Great and leader of Big Fish Staffing Carter Covernton (Nephew)
Overall a great 36 hours! Lastly, we’d like to wish the Winnipeg Jets all the best on their way to the Stanley Cup!
Special thanks to Mike for getting all of the beer, pop, water and ice!!
