Owner and President

Bruce Covernton, Big Fish Staffing Owner and President, has been in the Staffing Industry in Calgary for 12 years. Bruce has strong interpersonal skills and fosters relationships wherever he goes. Bruce was an Offensive Lineman for the Calgary Stampeders. Bruce brings the hard-work, planning and dedication to Big Fish Staffing that helped make him a CFL All-Star, Rookie of the Year, Lineman of the Year, two-time Grey-Cup Champion and Weber State University Hall of Famer.

Charity is very important to Bruce and as one of our founding values, Community, he has created the Big Fish Staffing Community Fund. As an active member in the community, Bruce supports too many groups to list with a main focus on football, suicide services and CUPS. In his spare time, Bruce is a bad golfer but expert when it comes to the BBQ. Bruce likes to travel, is a coffee connoisseur and is currently working on his stand-up routine for Yuk-Yuk’s open-mike 2016 deadline.

Irene Yoo

Irene Yoo graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science, Major in Neuroscience. After graduation, she found her real passion in working with people and decided to pursue a career in Human Resources. She wishes to become a member of CPHR in the future, through which she hopes to be able to help other people find their own passion.

Irene has always valued giving back to the community and is looking forward to contributing to the charity work as a member of the Big Fish Staffing team. Irene considers herself a food enthusiast and is always willing to try out new restaurants around the city, she especially loves brunches and desserts. In her free time Irene is a big fan of watching Netflix or from October to June catching NHL action. She wishes to travel to Europe one day to experience the art, history, and culture of many different countries.

Donna Kuhnen
Recruitment & HR Advisor

Donna Kuhnen has 12 years of expertise in Human Resources and has been a member of the HRIA for the past 7 years. She is a CHRP holder since 2010 and has vast experience as a recruiter, with the ability to utilize her skills to connect top talent with opportunities. Donna graduated from the SAIT Business Administrative program and then received an HR Management Certificate from Mount Royal University.

Donna is involved with the Calgary Mustard Seed, the Calgary International Film Festival, the Central Alberta Women’s Emergency Shelter and was the Campaign Coordinator for United Way. In her free time Donna frequents the Calgary bike paths, is a a music-junkie and can often be found volunteering around the City.
