An Evening with Wayne Thomas Recap

Mike Rutherford

This fantastic evening of socializing hosted at Spolumbo’s Fine Food & Sausage last night was very successful! Over 150 guests gathered in support of raising funds for ALS and to help our good friend Wayne Thomas in his fight with this disease.

Not only was the food and company amazing, the items donated for the Silent Auction were overwhelming! Some guests walked away with all kinds of treasures… including a live auction of a Calgary Flames and Stampeders sports packages prize and a motivational/self-help book basket! The highlight of the night was Wayne Thomas’s mountain portrait selling for $1700!

Special thanks to our guests and volunteers for all their participation and event organizing committee because this night would not have been possible without each of them. Thank you to Nancy Bailes and her hard work organizing the fabulous silent auction, live auctions and organizing a great team of volunteers and much more!  Also, Nicole Howard for her admin help and to Bruce Covernton for his heart-warming and entertaining speech at the event in addition to opening the Big Fish Staffing office space to collect all the items! Way to go all volunteers and of course my team at Big Fish. And lastly to everyone that attended and donated THANK YOU!
